Looking For Gift Ideas?

I'm one of those organised Christmas shoppers. Before the children were born I was happily nonchalant about it all, often leaving it all to Christmas Eve. The thought of it now makes me shudder.

With that in mind I'd like to introduce a new product designed with that difficult to buy for person in your life. I'm not sure what to call it, a Documentary Portrait maybe?

I have three of these hung in my hallway, one for each of the children and my intention is to update them each year. At some point in the future I'll give them back to them as a memento of their childhood.

Now for the best part. As an introductory offer, these are available for the special price of £50. This includes the mini session, editing and a ready-to-frame A4 print. Other sizes are of course available.

New Frames

I always do this- post nothing for ages then two posts in a day. Anyway, the reason I'm back so soon is to try out a new blog frame from the album cafe. Lots of goodies there for photographers.

New Do

Why do kids hate going to the hairdressers? Correction, why do boys hate going to the hairdressers? My daughter loves the whole pampering aspect of it as much as she loves looking at herself in mirror after its all over. This may be a pretty bad sign- a high maintenance teenage phase is on the cards I think. The boys on the other hand are not so easily handled in the coiffure stakes. I have resorted to booking separate appointments for them so I can go with them one-on-one and coax and cajole them into sitting in one place for 15 minutes. This is the result of this morning's trip to see Chris, our very patient stylist...

It's just like Waiting for a Bus

Having neglected the blog for so long I'm back in less than 24 hours. How's that for dedication?
Note for P & M: these are very quick edits so don't worry about any rough edges. If you like any of them we can talk through making them look perfect then. Hope you like them.

Back to Blogging

It has been too long since I blogged so I'm going to make up for it by posting an XL-sized portion.
These beautiful girls are the perfect illustration of why I can't make the leap to shooting exclusive black & white sessions. I LOVE b&w- it suits my style of very informal photography and it lends a classic timeless look to most shots. The problem with that though is when you meet people with mesmeric big blue eyes. Take a look and you'll see what I mean.

Spoilt for Choice in the Big Smoke

I'm still catching my breath after a long weekend in London this past weekend. We had four full days to pack in as much as we could and my feet are glad to be back in Belfast for a rest!
